The provider listed is likely one of the pathologists at MAWD Pathology Group. If you have had a biopsy, pap smear, or blood drawn at your doctor’s office, had surgery at an Ambulatory Surgery Center, or were a patient at one of the many hospitals for which we are medical directors and perform anatomic and clinical pathology services, you may be receiving a statement for pathology or cytology services that were performed by a MAWD pathologist.
This bill is separate from any charges billed by the ordering provider, hospital, and/or paid at your physician's office. Your bill is for laboratory testing and the work completed by our pathologists, as ordered by your physician. Once MAWD receives your specimen, our pathologists examine it and provide a diagnosis which allows your physician to determine the best plan of care for your health. Again, these services are separate from any other bill you received from other providers.

As of March 31, 2025, Labcorp is the performing and billing laboratory for some testing not performed in-house at MAWD, including clinical and women’s health testing. For any Labcorp-related billing questions, patients should contact Labcorp at 800-845-6167.

MAWD transitioned to an in-house billing solution for cases occurring on or after October 1, 2022. Our online payment portal can be accessed from the payment page linked above. All statements with a date of service listed on or before September 30, 2022 were handled by an outside billing service. MAWD was informed duplicate statements were sent out to some patients in February 2023 for services on/before September 30, 2022. These erroneous statements may show a balance due despite the account being paid in full. MAWD no longer contracts with this billing service. If you received a statement for any services occurring prior to September 30, 2022, please call us at (800) 933-6293. Our local Client Services Representatives are ready to help Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we transition our services to better serve you.

It is best to contact your physician or surgeon to request a copy of your report. However, MAWD is happy to provide a copy of your report in person if you come to our office and show proper ID. If you wish to pick up a report copy in person, please call (913) 396-8509 and our medical secretaries will make sure the report is ready for you.

Yes, MAWD offers both PCR testing for current infections and serology antibody testing for signs of previous infection.
The cash price for COVID-19 PCR testing is $149.00 per test.
The cash price for antibody testing is $50.00 per test.
