Information

The determination of AMH is used for the assessment of the ovarian reserve in women presenting for fertility testing.

Collection Information

FEMALE ONLY. Collect specimen on days 2-4 of the menstrual cycle. Results from assays of other manufactures cannot be used interchangeably.

Electrochemiluminescence-immunoassay (ECLIA)

Limitations

Interference observed a biotin concentrations above 30 ng/mL. Samples should not be taken from patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (i.e. >5 mg/day) until at least 8 hours following the last biotin administration.

Rejection Criteria

Gross hemolysis; gross lipemia
