Dr. Spengel is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.
Dr. Spengel completed his Pathology residency at the University of Kansas Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. He completed his Hematopathology fellowship under the internationally-renowned Dr. Kathy Foucar at the University of New Mexico - TriCore Reference Laboratory.
Dr. Spengel joined MAWD Pathology Group in 2008 and is the current Laboratory Medical Director for Excelsior Springs Medical Center .
